Trump works as a Waiter at his own Hotel
次期米大統領トランプ氏が、自身が経営するホテルで働く、というちょっとおもしろい企画。
①まずはベルボーイとして
DT: Hello, Paul.
Paul: Good morning, Mr. Trump.
DT: So you're gonna teach me something today?
Paul: I hope I can do that.
DT: Well, I'm gonna try and do your job. It's not gonna be easy.
Paul: Don't do it too well. . . . Try that one on (and) see if that fits.
DT: It's very interesting.
DT: やあ、ポール。
P: トランプさん、おはようございます。
DT: さあ、今日は君が教えてくれるんだよね?
P: ええ、私にできるかどうか。
DT: よし、これから君の仕事にトライするぞ。簡単にはいかないだろうけどね。
P: たやすくできてしまうのでは？これを着て下さい。サイズ、合うかな。
DT: おもしろいね。
Paul: We do everything, from walking dogs to running up groceries, to . . . whatever the guest may need. We really never have to say no to a guest. . . . I think we have a guest that's gonna be coming down shortly, checking out.
DT: [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] tips?
Paul: You are.
DT: Let's go get a guest.

Guest: I did not expect this.
DT: Would you like this inside with you?

DT: 快適にお過ごしいただけましたか？
G: ええ、お世話になりました。
DT: よかった。それじゃあそちらのお荷物、お預かりいましょう。ほうら。ね？こうなるとは思わなかったでしょう？

DT: これは室内に置きますか？
DT: This is the first time I've carried luggage for anybody [ ] [ ] in a long time. It's been a long time, [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]. The life of a bellman and working in a hotel is never easy.
DT: 自分も含めて、人のために荷物を運んだのは本当に久々だよ。でも楽しかった。ベルボーイの仕事とか、ホテルで働くって、決して楽なことじゃないよ。
②犬の散歩サービス
Paul: I believe that somebody just called down for a dog-walking appointment. . . . I always keep a dog biscuit on hand just in case the dog 〈inaudible〉
DT: Oh, dog biscuits, very good. I hope it's not a vicious dog.
DT: (宿泊客に)Hello. how are you?
Guest: Hi, oh my goodness!
DT: [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]. We have a doggy park at the hotel, and I'm gonna take it for a little walk. [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]. I'll be back in a few minutes.
P: たった今お客様から犬の散歩サービスのご依頼がありました。・・・私は常に犬用のビスケットを持っているんです。犬が〈聴き取り不能〉時のために。
DT: へえ、犬用ビスケットね。そりゃいい。＊＊＊犬じゃないといいけど。
DT: こんにちは。
G: どうも。まあすごい！
DT: あなたのワンちゃんのお散歩をしに来ましたよ。当ホテルにはワンちゃん公園があるので、ちょっと行ってきます。ごゆっくり。すぐ戻って来ますよ。
DT: You take the dog, you go outside, it's freezing, and you walk around for a while, and . . . it's not that easy. The [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] with that dog was amazing. Probably she shouldn't have, but it worked out.
犬を預かって、外へ出て、凍える寒さの中しばらく散歩する・・・楽な仕事じゃないよ。彼女が私を信用してくれて犬を預けてくれたことは本当にうれしいね。私なんかに預けない方が賢明かもしれないけど(笑)、でも大丈夫だったよ。
③調理場で
DT: Hello, everybody. Hey, Andy. How are you? Nice to see you. I'm gonna help you.
Andy: (Let me) first give you an appropriate vest. You'll look like us in this.
DT: What happens if somebody like me wants to take a bite out of the burger [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ]? Is that acceptable?
Andy: It's not a good idea.
DT: やあ、みんな。アンディ。元気かい？会えて嬉しいよ。今日は君のお手伝いだ。
A: まずちゃんとしたベストを着ていただきます。これで我々の一員です。

A: それはマズいですね。

④最後に、部屋の清掃
DT: Hello, Mia.
Mia: Good morning, Mr. Trump. Always a pleasure.
DT: Nice to see you again.
Mia: So you're gonna help me do housekeeping today?
DT: I am. Am I gonna change this again?
DT: やあ、ミア。元気かい？
M: トランプさん、おはようございます。光栄です。
DT: また会えてうれしいよ。
M: 今日はハウスキーピングをお手伝いいただけるんですね？
DT: そうだよ。これ、また着替えるのかな？
Mia: OK, so first, we're gonna start off with the bed. So, first, you wanna pull the cover up so we have the 〈inaudibe〉. . . . So next, Mr. Trump, I'm gonna need you to vacuum.
DT: Okay. So, where's our little release? . . . Wow. So, there's a little piece of lint . . . now it's gone. . . . You're great.

DT: Oh, I'm not into bathrooms, Mia. I don't know if I could ever do that job. Only sinks, right?
Mia: First, spray the sink.

DT: Well, these are four jobs that I've never done before, and they're tough, you have to be sharp, you have to be smart, you have to [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ], and it's hard work and not easy. M: An admirer, right?
DT: Yeah.
DT: というわけで、今日の4つの仕事、初めてやってみたけど、どれも大変だし、しっかりしないといけないし、頭を使う仕事だし、他人とうまくやっていかなければいけないし、重労働だよ。簡単じゃない。(ミアに)でも気に入っているんだよな？彼女は素晴らしいよ。素晴らしい仕事をしてくれて本当にありがとう。君に弟子入りするよ(笑)。
